Why rat deterrents don’t solve rat infestations
Many products are advertised as a rat deterrent, claiming to keep rats away using smells, sound devices, powders or other methods. In reality, most rat deterrents provide little more than temporary disruption and rarely solve a rat problem. Rats enter buildings because they offer warmth, shelter and reliable routes for movement, often connected to drainage systems or gaps in the building fabric.
